Gilligan's Island
Part of the Guánica Dry Forest Reserve, a few hundred meters offshore, Gilligan's Island is a small set of island between La Parguera and Ponce.
On one side, there's a secluded beach where people come to rest and have picnic.
Mangroves
When you approach the island, you come to a wide shallow beach where two mangrove filled canals lead to the ocean on the other side of the island. It is shallow enough to walk but since the island was closed for maintenance, we were able to bring the dinghy in. That was fun!
