Leaving Puerto Rico
As we didn't have enough time yesterday, we woke up an hour earlier to visit the grounds of El Campo del Morro before the tourists invade the place. More importantly, before we miss our flight back to wherever we are heading. We first had breakfast in a local restaurant in front of that Dominos park where old men hang out in the morning to chat about everything and nothing.
After passing the slums Kurt had told us about, we walked toward the cemetery. Rather impressive, adjunct to the ocean. What better resting place than this. It was a rather quick visit as everything was still closed and quiet but it was well worth the walk at a time where light brings out the waking hours of an old city.
... and as we were leaving behind such beautiful memories... our departing committee. Adios Puerto Rico.
